Sender-ID Protection

Sender-ID protection ensures that only authorised parties can send with a given alphanumeric or numeric sender ID, that variations and look-alikes are detected, and that the sender ID that reaches the handset matches what was registered.

The challenge

  • Brand impersonation through spoofed or look-alike sender IDs
  • Sender IDs replaced on grey routes
  • No handset-level proof of integrity

How does Guardivia protect sender IDs?

Guardivia's SMS Signaling and ESME Gateway Firewall validates every message against a sender-ID registry, detects spoofing, variations and manipulation across SS7 and SMPP paths, and can force or block sender IDs by policy. Honeypot SMS Testing then verifies at real devices that the registered sender ID is preserved end to end on each route.

Questions about this solution

Can the firewall integrate with a national sender-ID registry?

Where the registry exposes a documented interface, the QoS Engineering Team builds the integration as a custom connector.
