AI and Traffic Intelligence

Where behavioural analytics helps, where deterministic rules remain essential, and how enforcement stays under human control.

What is ai and traffic intelligence?

In messaging security, AI and machine-learning techniques analyse traffic baselines, behavioural patterns, message similarity, abnormal volumes, sender behaviour, routing anomalies and emerging campaigns that are difficult to capture with static rules alone. They complement deterministic protocol rules rather than replacing them.

Messaging traffic is a good fit for behavioural analysis: it is high volume, strongly periodic, and fraud usually shows up as a deviation from an established pattern before anyone can write a rule for it.

It is also a domain where an over-eager classifier can block a bank's OTPs at nine in the morning. This hub covers both halves of that trade-off.

Common questions

AI and Traffic Intelligence FAQs

Short answers to the questions that come up most often. Longer topics have their own articles above.

Does AI replace traditional SMS firewall rules?

No. Effective telecom security should combine deterministic network and protocol rules with behavioural analytics and AI-assisted detection. AI complements established telecom controls rather than replacing them.

Can Guardivia detect previously unknown messaging threats?

Behavioural and anomaly detection can identify activity that differs significantly from established traffic patterns, allowing suspicious behaviour to be investigated even when it does not match an existing static rule.

Does the AI block traffic on its own?

No. Guardivia's platform starts in monitoring and learning mode, builds baselines, then proposes classifications, rules and thresholds with supporting evidence. An authorised engineer reviews and confirms every enforcement decision.
